Business News of Friday, 9 January 2026Source: www.ghanaweb.comVice President Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has reaffirmed the John Dramani Mahama administration’s commitment to completing the Gomoa Pomadze Poultry Project in the Central Region, describing it as a key intervention in strengthening Ghana’s food security. “The Pomadze Poultry Initiative is progressing. The project aligns with national efforts under Feed Ghana and Nkoko Nkitinkiti to boost domestic poultry production, generate jobs, stabilize prices, and improve food security,” Prof Opoku-Agyemang stated in a Facebook post. “This initiative aligns directly with our national objectives under the Feed Ghana and ‘Nkokonkitinkiti’ to strengthen domestic poultry production and, significantly, reduce reliance on imports by 2028,” she added. The Gomoa Pomadze Poultry Project is expected to create jobs, support local farmers, and contribute to stabilising poultry prices while enhancing Ghana’s self-sufficiency in poultry production.
