Lack in consultation, transparencyDuring the Senate inquiry, provincial bus operators lamented the government’s failure in consulting them before the PITX’s inauguration. Omar Mayo of the United Cavite Provincial Bus Operators said no consultation was held prior to the release of the orders concerning the PITX. The Provincial Bus Operators Association of the Philippines (PBOAP) also appealed for the review of the government policies on the PITX, particularly its effect on commuters. She called for a dialogue with concerned bus operators as she believed that the orders were “not fair” to them.
