Google has been directing efforts into developing artificial intelligence to detect breast cancer. Vis-à-vis, Cancer Research UK Imperial Centre, Northwestern University, and Royal Surrey County Hospital, and Google have created an AI model to read mammograms - X-rays of the breast. This will further help in detecting signs of breast cancer more precisely. "Reading these X-ray images is a difficult task, even for experts, and can often result in both false positives and false negatives. This further resulted into a 3.5% reduction in false positives and 8.1% reduction in false negatives.
