Google celebrates 140 years of Wimbledon with a doodle


With Wimbledon 2017 set to start on Monday, Google launched a special doodle to celebrate the occasion of the 140th anniversary, of the oldest tennis tournament in the world. The new doodle launched on Monday carries a green background, which is a tribute to the grass courts on which Wimbledon matches are played. Two tennis rackets can also be seen in action with a ball in the animated doodle, whereas the letters of the word ‘Google’ represent the audiences sitting in the background.
