This feature was presence of headphone jack. But this year there is no headphone jack in the Pixel 2 and the Pixel 2 XL. He suggested that removing the headphone jack was akin to swallowing a bitter pill and it was better to do it now. Although the new Pixel phones don't come with the headphone jack, they do come with a headphone jack to USB-C adapter, similar to how Apple bundles and an adapter with its new iPhones.
