And this time “everyone” was not a smattering of local and national outlets fooled by tweets, fake hashtags or prank interviews on broadcast television, but major and all-powerful information networks like Google and Facebook. The 4chan threads became a basis for an article on The Gateway Pundit and somehow ended up trending, at the top of the page, on both Facebook and Google.
