Now, Google has introduced a new feature that lets you navigate away from areas with high rates of coronavirus. The feature, called ‘COVID layers’, is the latest in a string of new features designed to make people feel more confident while travelling during the pandemic. (Image: Google)Tap on ‘COVID-19 info’, and you’ll see a seven day average of new COVID cases per 100,000 people for the area of the map you’re looking at, as well as a label that indicates whether the cases are trending up or down. Google has also included colour coding to help you to distinguish the density of new cases in an area.
