Google has expanded the availability of its AI chatbot, Bard, to users in more than 180 countries, including Australia. Among upcoming features announced by Google, Bard will provide visual responses through Google’s Lens application, enabling users to upload images for analysis and captions. Google has also promised to integrate Bard into its other products over time, including Gmail, Docs, Drive, and Maps. To address the issue of AI hallucinations, Bard will include annotation on sourced information and links to the source material. Google CEO Sundar Pichai recently stated that all Google AI models will include watermarking and metadata to identify AI-generated content.
