The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Sunday that the country would have good weather starting Monday as Typhoon “Ompong” continued to move away towards Southern China. As of 4 a.m., Sunday, Ompong was spotted at 480 km west-northwest of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, while moving west-northwest towards Southern China. Pagasa advised fisherfolk, especially those with small seacraft, to not venture out over the northern and western seaboards of Luzon as gale warnings were still up.
