more-inCHANDIGARH: Qualifier Kaza Vinayak Sharma had a memorable day as he defeated sixth seed Sami Reinwein of Germany in the first round of singles, and later joined hands with Mohit Mayur to beat the top seeds from Brazil in the doubles pre-quarterfinals of the $15,000 ITF men’s Futures tennis tournament at the CLTA Complex here on Tuesday. In both the matches, Vinayak handled the crucial tie-breaks well to make it a straight-forward affair. He beat Sami Reinwein 6-2, 7-6(2) and in doubles, Vinayak and Mohit downed Caio Silva and Thales Turini 7-6(5), 6-2. Kunal Anand was equally efficient in getting past Haadin Bava 7-5 in the third set.
