Good Samaritan buys from bakery run by disabled folk to feed needy

TO SUPPORT a bakery run by the hearing and speech-impaired, a 66-year-old spent RM1,200 to buy pastries for struggling families in the Stulang area in Johor Baru. Li Liong Man said he got to know about Kak Ngah Bakery and Cafe in Taman Sri Stulang through his friends and Stulang assemblyman Andrew Chen Kah Eng. “I ordered RM1,200 worth of pastries to distribute to 43 less privileged families from the Sri Stulang and Iskandar People’s Housing Project nearby. “That way, I can support the bakery and share the treats with the needy,” said the managing director of an import firm. “I hope my small gesture will encourage the bakery to persevere through the Covid-19 pandemic,” said Li.
