Golfer dies during PGA Tour China tournament, final round abandoned

The PGA Tour China is in mourning after the death of Malaysian player Arie Irawan. PGA Tour China officials abandoned the final round of their Hainan tournament after Malaysian golfer Arie Irawan was found dead. "Out of respect for the family, officials cancelled the final round of the Sanya Championship, the tournament becoming a 54-hole event. "This is a tragic day in the Tour's history, and it would not have been right to play the final round," said PGA Tour China executive director Greg Carlson. New Zealanders Ryan Chisnall and Luke Toomey also played in the tournament and both missed the cut.
