PETALING JAYA: National No.1 golfer Gavin Kyle Green has won his maiden Asian Tour title by capturing the Mercuries Taiwan Masters on Sunday. The deserving victory which came after he finished runner-up on three other occasions this season netted Green a cool US$160,000 (RM676,000). Green also became the second Malaysian to win the tournament in three years after Danny Chia won it in 2015. Ben Leong registered a 74 to finish in a four-way tie for seventh on three-under 285, while Nicholas Fung posted 73 to be joint 16th on 289. Danny closed with a 70 for 291 to end his campaign in 22nd.
