The actor, 30, has been tipped for Best Actor In Motion Picture - Musical/Comedy at the 77th annual glittering ceremony on July 5. Taron garnered attention for his energetic performance as young Elton in epic biopic Rocketman which hit the cinemas last year. For luck, the leading star rubbed shoulders with the rock star who gave him some words of encouragement at the BAFTA tea party on Saturday. Their close bond and fondness was captured on camera as Taron was seen affectionately holding Elton's arm while they sat together for tea. In December, Taron enthused he had fallen in love with Elton as his friend as he talked about their close relationship.
