Photo: ReutersMumbai: Gold prices extended losses at the bullion market on Wednesday following stockists and investors selling amid reduced local buying interest driven by a fall in International markets. Standard gold (99.5 purity) dropped by Rs155 to end at Rs29,125 per 10 grams from Tuesday’s level of Rs29,280. Globally, gold prices fell on renewed hopes that US President Donald Trump will unleash growth-friendly spending policies that boosted shares and eroded bullion’s safe haven attraction. Spot gold fell 0.4% to $1,204.21 per ounce at early trade.
