Gold prices in the global and Egyptian markets witnessed a decrease on Thursday. A gram of 24-karat gold reached LE917, while a gram of 21-karat gold hit LE804, and 18-karat gold ended at LE685. The price a pound of gold reached LE6,440. Gold prices decreased by 0.3 percent in the global stock exchange, reaching US$1,837.13 per ounce after peaking on Wednesday. US gold futures also fell 0.3 percent, landing at US$1,837.40.
