Life as we know it may not return to normal even when the lockdown is eventually lifted. The Philippines should continue to be cautious, given the lingering threat and the possibility that this coronavirus may become seasonal. In fact, the government should tap government vehicles, even military transport, to help ensure that commuters can practice physical distancing. Government, too, should rethink how it provides public services, again for physical distancing. Testing, both for Covid-19 and its antibodies, along with physical distancing and frequent hand washing, will be part of our daily routine for some time to come.
