The procession in Yuen Long to mark the birthday of Tin Hau, the goddess of the sea, on the 23rd day of the third lunar month, will not be hled this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. The annual celebrations that end at Tai Sue Ha Tin Hau temple in Yuen Long usually draws thousands of people. Tin Hau, the patron saint of fishermen, is celebrated at dozens of temples when people also pray for safety and good marine harvest.
