As media filed into the Maple Leafs’ dressing room at the Ford Performance Centre on Thursday afternoon to talk to general manager Kyle Dubas and newcomers Jack Campbell and Kyle Clifford, going the other way was goaltender Frederik Andersen. Andersen, who suffered a neck injury against Florida on Monday, then spent the next 35 minutes on the ice, taking shots from goaltending coach Steve Briere. A positive development, to be sure, after there was some speculation that Andersen could be out for a while. “(His) status is that he is continuing to work through the injury and see where he is at,” Dubas said. Defenceman Cody Ceci suffered an ankle injury against the New York Rangers on Wednesday night and will be placed on injured reserve, Dubas said.
