Shares in Goals Soccer Centres were suspended in March when the original accounting error was discovered AlamyGoals Soccer Centres warned this morning that it could owe the tax authorities more than it first thought as it cancelled its shares from trading in London. The five-a-side football operator said that it believed that it owed up to £12 million to HMRC for unpaid VAT but that it was still working with advisers to work out the final sum. “The actual liability may be materially higher than that previously announced dependent on the approach and working assumptions that could be adopted by HMRC in assessing the misdeclaration,” the company said. As a result the company was unable to produce audited accounts for 2018. The shares had been suspended…
