The Goa government has decided to sign memorandum of understanding with the Centre under Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) to provide subsidised medicines in the coastal state. Union Minister of State for Chemical and Fertilisers Mansukh L Mandaviya who was in Goa today met Health Minister Vishwajit Rane to discuss the implementation of PMBJP. In principle, we have agreed to sign an MoU on lines with other states where government of Goa will implement Prime Minister s pet project PMBJP," Rane told reporters emerging from the meeting. Goa will sign MoU with the Centre in the first week of June in presence of Chief Minister. He said all the state government run pharmacies would be converted into 'Jan Aushadi Kendra' in a phased manner.
