INTERIOR department officer-in-charge Catalino Cuy on Thursday urged the public to use the three-day special non-working days this November to go on vacation outside Metro Manila as the capital hosts the 31st Association of Southeast Asian Nations Summit and Related Meetings. “[Cuy] advises the public to go on vacation outside Metro Manila and spend time with their loved ones during the declared Asean holidays,” the Interior department said in a statement. Malacañang earlier declared Nov. 13 to 15 as special non-working days in Metro Manila, Pampanga and Bulacan. Before that, the Metro Manila Council said classes in all levels would be suspended in Metro Manila on Nov. 16 to 17. On days with full lockdown, only pedestrians and vehicles with Asean IDs and decals will be allowed to pass while the general public will be denied access to these routes.
