Most of the world’s Jewish population is located in Israel (46 per cent) and the United States (39 per cent). Some samples, such as Canada’s census, can be “remarkably good,” including Jewish status, while the U.S. Jewish population is ascertained with Pew Research data. Despite those gains, Israel’s Jewish population is growing at a rate that’s two thirds of the general world population. About nine per cent of the global Jewish population currently lives in the continent whereas, in the late-19th century, it was almost 90 per cent.
