The Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour will arrive at the Amey Theatre in Abingdon on March 5, and April 30. The tour showcases a selection of short films featuring extreme exploration, resilience, and awe-inspiring journeys from around the world. "The BanƯ Mountain Film Festival showcases the year’s most inspiring stories of adventure, with cutting-edge expeditions, extraordinary human resilience and the enduring magic of wild places." Another featured film, Mandala, takes viewers on a visually stunning mountain biking journey through Nepal, from Kathmandu to the Himalayas, with French rider Kilian Bron. The films are selected from entries to the Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival, held annually in the Canadian Rockies.
