The United States appears to be taking a more cautious approach to the conflict. President Joe Biden expressed support for a truce but, at the same time, invoked Israel's right to defend itself against indiscriminate rocket attacks. The Philippines cannot escape the fallout from the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. So far, our diplomatic officials have reported there are no Filipino casualties in the raging conflict. These reasons are compelling enough for the Philippines to join the growing call for an early resolution to the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
