With a growing consumer base of broadband internet in Pakistan, global information technology (IT) companies are focusing on the country to enhance their business outreach through local partners and setting up offices for customers. According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), foreign investment worth nearly $11.4 million landed in the IT sector of Pakistan in July-September 2020. There are over 86 million users of mobile broadband in Pakistan, according to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA). Western Digital is a hard disk drive manufacturer and data storage company that specialises in data technology products, including storage devices, data centre systems and cloud storage services. According to him, the utility of data is growing in the country due to which demand for data storage devices is soaring.
