Washington: The total number of global COVID-19 Cases has surpassed the 58 million mark, while deaths have surged to more than1.37 million, according to the Johns Hopkins University. The University’s Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) revealed that the current global caseload and death toll stood at 58,035,296 and 1,379,508, respectively, in its latest update on Sunday morning. India comes in second place in terms of cases at 9,050,597, while the country’s death toll soared to 132,726. US Covid-19 cases hit 10 million on November 9, and increased by 1 million within a week. Africa’s Covid-19 cases cross 2.4 millionThe number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in the African continent has reached 2,043,462, the Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said.
