Glenfiddich is running its trucks on whisky waste

Glenfiddich is making its trucks run on whisky. Scottish whisky distiller Glenfiddich has begun converting its local delivery trucks to run on low-emission biofuel made from waste products from the whisky-making process. The biofuel is part of a “closed loop” sustainability initiative, which involves converting its production waste and residues. During the malting phase of whisky distillation, around 85 per cent of grains used end up as waste product called draff. Supplied Stuart Watts, distilleries director of Glenfiddich’s parent company, William Grant & Sons.
