A Glendale man believed to have deliberately jumped in front of a moving train and killed himself Monday had slashed his estranged wife’s throat a day before, authorities say. Glendale police had been looking for Henrik Manokian, 57, after identifying him as a suspect in the attack on his wife, according to Sgt. Then on Monday, police received reports that a man had been struck by a train near the intersection of San Fernando Road and Doran Street. Moments before Manokian jumped in front of the train, he told a passerby that “he wanted to end his life,” William said. But as the Amtrak train approached the intersection, the man ran onto the tracks and was struck, police said.
