Glastonbury 2020 should have celebrated 50 years of the Worthy Farm festival. Instead it’s the festival that never was, being cancelled in March due to the coronavirus crisis, just days after the first set of artists was confirmed. Sir Paul McCartney was confirmed as Saturday’s headline act, returning to Worthy Farm for the first time as 2004, while the festival was due to be closed by Taylor Swift on Sunday night. Brit award-winning Mabel was confirmed, as was Sinead O’Connor, Dua Lipa, Lana Del Ray, Charli XCX, Goldfrapp, La Roux, Haim and FKA Twigs. Electronic DJs confirmed for Glastonbury 2020 Caribou and Tom Misch were also set to perform.
