Smile Cafe on Douglas Street in the city centre bagged three gongs at this year's Scottish Cafe and Bakery Awards. The eatery won Cafe of the Year in South West Scotland, Cafe of the Year for Scotland, and Best Loved Cafe in the South West. Meanwhile, several other cafes across the city including Caffe Calla, Paton's Place, and Little Royal Cafe also won awards at the event. The event, which was formerly known as the Scottish Cafe Awards, aims to celebrate the best of the country's coffee industry. The prestigious awards ceremony took place on Sunday, February 18, at the Doubletree by Hilton in Glasgow.
