Gisborne cold case: Police announce $100,000 reward for new information on Ronald Russell Allison's death


Police have offered a $100,000 reward for new information about the death of an 88-year-old man in a suspicious house fire. Gisborne man Ronald Russell Allison died at his home in Te Karaka on January 25, 2013. For eight years police have kept the case into the war veteran's death open and active. Police say Allison lived alone and had limited mobility. In new information revealed on TVNZ 1's Cold Case, Allison had received a disturbing phone call on January 24 from a "person of interest" known to both Allison and his son John.
