Girls outshine boys yet again in SSC exams


Commissioner of School Education K. Sandhya Rani, addressing a press conference here on Tuesday after releasing the result, said like every year, girls continued their forward march by gaining a lead of 0.41% marks over boys. The regular candidates secured a pass percentage of 94.88 (boys-94.68, girls-95.09). While the total pass percentage is 58.82, girls secured 61.84 and boys 56.72, 5.12 % higher than the boys. Students of AP Residential Schools secured the highest pass percentage of 98.24, while aided schools recorded the lowest of 87.16. Supplementary examsMs. Sandhya Rani said advanced supplementary exams would be held from June 17 to 29 from 9.30 a.m. to 12.15 p.m..
