Vanessa Nygaard, Windward's girls' basketball coach, isn't shy when she's happy. Windward won the state Division I girls' championship on Friday night, beating Sacramento McClatchy, 53-41, at the Golden 1 Center. She scored Windward's first 13 points. Nygaard has called Osborne the best player in the state, and she ends the 2017 season at the top of her game. This is the second state title for the Wildcats.
