Tyelisha Voeltz testified Friday in the Nova Scotia Supreme Court trial of Shawntez Neco Downey, who remains in custody on remand. HALIFAX—The girlfriend of Tylor McInnis didn’t sleep the night the 26-year-old Halifax man was killed. The Crown asked Voeltz about a certain address on Washmill Lake Dr., and she said a friend of McInnis’ lived there in an apartment building. McInnis asked if she’d gotten his text about calling his brother Cowan McInnis to come gather a few pieces of jewelry, but she said no. A couple minutes later, Voeltz said she tried to call McInnis back but it went straight to voicemail.
