Mrs Ball was airlifted to Bristol's Southmead Hospital while Keira and Bradley were taken to Bristol Children's Hospital. He recalled how he had been two or three vehicles behind the Vauxhall, being driven by Mrs Ball. It was confirmed Mrs Ball had not been under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and the speed do not suggest she was travelling at an excess speed. Mrs Ball also had no medical conditions.
