PORT DICKSON: A quarrel over her former boyfriend's electronic cigarette-smoking habit was believed to have lead to Nur Alya Damia Hairi, 19, being strangled to death. Sources said the 19-year-old victim and the suspect, were believed to have separated several weeks ago. Port Dickson magistrate's Court allowed a seven day remand order to assist in investigations under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder. Earlier, initial investigations found that the victim who was renting a house in Taman Selasih was picked up by the suspect in his Proton Wira. Port Dickson deputy police chief Superintendent Mohd Faisal Mohd Noor, said they are looking at all angles and aspect to complete their investigation into the case.
