A four-year-old has been praised for helping to save her mother’s life by calling 999 after she collapsed from an allergic reaction. An audio recording has been released revealing how Suzie McCash, from Tynemouth, North Tyneside, rang the police and calmly explained that “Mummy’s got her eyes closed” and that she could not talk. This led paramedics to her mother Rowena’s home after she had suffered a respiratory arrest in the hallway. During the call, Suzie answers questions from a call handler explaining what has happened. Superintendent Nicola Musgrove said: “Suzie’s mum stopped breathing altogether but paramedics were able to stabilise her.
