Elizabeth Soffe was severely burned in a cot fire caused by a faulty air conditioning unit when she was just six months old. Seven-year-old currently has to have operations every six months to release her scarred skin as she grows taller. Elizabeth still needs regular treatment including skin grafts, reconstructive surgeries, physiotherapy and several baths a day to help sooth her scars. It's not stretchy like normal skin so she needs skin graft operations to release it, particularly around her wrists, elbows and neck, which get quite tight. It's mainly a movement problem so she needs regular operations to help with that."
