Police led a desperate search for the parents of the missing girl, understood to be called Vanessa, at around 1.30pm. Bedfordshire Police said the girl is white and has brown hair. One person wrote on Facebook: "Myself and another guy found this girl. I wondered the area looking for a worried parent for 30 mins whilst waiting for the police to arrive. Vanessa was seen walking Dearne Walk and Avon Drive in the Brickhill area of Bedford.
