A two-year-old girl died after falling from a fourth-floor balcony at Channa apartments, Tom Mboya estate in Kisumu on Friday. Elsewhere, a 94-year-old woman burned to death in Kapuonja, Kisumu West subcounty. Still in Kisumu West subcounty, a woman, 40, drowned inside a borehole in her compound in Kogony. His widower Martin Ayieko said Akiniyi went to draw some water in a borehole just inside her compound and did not return. In Kisumu Central subcounty, a woman was electrocuted at Kaego area in Manyatta while she was hanging wet clothes to dry.
