The 17-year-old girl died after dropping from the structure overlooking the A56 near Haslingden, Lancashire at around 1pm today. Emergency services rushed to the scene but the young woman died a short while after they arrived, Lancashire Live reported. There were queues stretching back several miles as the emergency services worked at the scene. John McNamara, a detective sargeant with the Lancashire Police, sent his condolences to the girl's family.
