IPOH: An 11-year-old girl was injured when a tree fell on her house in Pulau Pangkor in the wee hours of Sunday. The Fire and Rescue Department received a distress call at 2.56am. Three other family members were unhurt in the incident that happened at Teluk Kechil on the island. During the rescue, department personnel had to use a chain saw to cut the tree trunk and branches into smaller pieces for easier removal. Rescue personnel said there was no rain or strong winds at the time and the tree had probably fallen because it was old.
