Netherlands captain Gini Wijnaldum has revealed he will wear a rainbow-coloured captain's armband in the last-16 game against the Czech Republic. Currently, there are six "prohibited team clashes” including Ukraine vs Russia, Kosovo vs Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina vs Russia, Armenia vs Azerbaijan and Spain vs Gibraltar. This list is ever-evolving based on developing political situations, UEFA has to respond to conflicts that emerge. Rather than attempting to classify things as political or non-political, it should accept that some decisions just are and embrace them.
