THE Barangay Ginebra Gin Kings punched their ticket to the semifinals after beating the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, 81-73, on Friday night in the PBA Season 45 Philippine Cup at the Angeles University Foundation Sports and Cultural Center in Angeles, Pampanga. Big man Aljon Mariano also delivered for Ginebra with 11 points on top of nine boards while Prince Caperal chipped in 11 markers in just 14 minutes of play. Rain or Shine was able to limit the output of Ginebra’s leading scorer Stanley Pringle. The explosive guard though sank crucial baskets for the Gin Kings. Pringle is leading the Gin Kings in the PBA “bubble” with 18.7 points per game.
