To The Daily Sun,It is always important to face our days with empathy, compassion and a grateful heart. I have lived in Gilmanton, as my parents and grandparents did, for many years. Both the local fire and police departments are tasked with serving a large territory. Sadly, small communities like ours are not immune from crimes and social challenges facing many cities today. In spite of these demographics, we are fortunate to have a caring, compassionate, and well-trained Police Department providing us with not only protection, but also support through actively participating in community policing.
