Gilford considers lights at farm events

By THOMAS P. CALDWELL, LACONIA DAILY SUNGILFORD — A ban on outdoor lighting during agritourism events would be lifted under a proposed change to the town’s zoning ordinance. The change is among four proposed zoning amendments that will go to public hearing on Monday, Jan. 8, at 7 p.m. Inside storage would be allowed only in the Resort Commercial, Commercial, and Industrial zones. Outside storage would be allowed in the Commercial and Industrial zones and by special exception in the Resort Commercial zone. Screening would be required in the Resort Commercial zone when the property abuts single-family and two-family residences.
