The New York Giants placed long snapper Zak DeOssie on injured reserve, the team announced Saturday. “I think in the Jets game (on Nov. 10), he got banged up a little bit,” Giants coach Pat Shurmur said on Friday. He has served as a team captain for nine straight seasons, but he could have played his last game with New York. The 35-year-old DeOssie joins quarterback Eli Manning as the lone remaining members left on New York’s roster after the franchise’s past two Super Bowl championships. Holba, 25, has played in 13 regular-season games with the Jacksonville Jaguars (2017) and San Francisco 49ers (2018-19).
