The Vancouver Giants, who have had success rallying from third-period deficits so far this season, gave up their first third-period lead of the year on Friday night. The teams play the second half of their weekend home-and-home tonight (7 p.m., Spice 1200) at the Langley Events Centre. The Giants’ record includes a 5-1-0-0 mark when leading after two periods and a 2-1-1-0 effort when trailing after two. They’re the only team in the league with a winning record when trailing after two periods. Bowen Byram gave Vancouver a 3-1 lead at 4:39 of the second period when he bagged his fifth goal of the campaign.
