Giannis Antetokounmpo, capping an NBA Finals most valuable player performance, poured in 50 points in a jaw-dropping display as the Milwaukee Bucks beat the Phoenix Suns 105-98 Tuesday night to win the best-of-seven series in six games. Only seven players — Pettit, Elgin Baylor, Rick Barry, Jerry West, Michael Jordan and LeBron James — have scored 50 points in an NBA Finals game. The scene in Milwaukee was eerily reminiscent to the scene in Toronto before Game 5 of the NBA Finals in 2019 when the stars were seemingly aligned for a raucous celebration. The 26-year-old carried the Bucks all night, making up for pedestrian games from high-profile teammates Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton. I feel like we’ve moved on really, really good.
